The NHL worst Washington Capitals pulled off a 6-3 win over the Atlanta Thrashers last night. Notable capitals goals were scored by Alex Ovechkin(goal 21), Mike Green who scored twice.
Also, the Thrasher's Todd White scored twice and Captain Bobby Holik scored for the first time since these teams last met.
To wrap up the capitals other russian Alexander Semin played in his 2nd game off his ankle injury and looked more comfortable making sharper turns
